Google Sign-In Does Not Work

  • Check the internet connection.
  • Make sure Google Play Services is installed and updated.
  • Check the device date and time.
  • Close and reopen Orvix.

The Observation Camera Does Not Open

  • Enable device location and grant Orvix location permission.
  • Make sure a GPS signal can be obtained in an open area.
  • Disable fake GPS applications and mock location.
  • Tap the camera icon again after restoring the real location.

An Observation Is Pending or Failed

  • Check the internet connection.
  • Open Settings and tap Synchronize Offline Data.
  • Do not sign out, clear data, or uninstall the application before completion.

A Transfer or Invitation Code Is Invalid

  • Make sure the code was entered correctly.
  • Make sure it has not been used or cancelled.
  • Make sure fewer than 24 hours have passed.
  • Ask the Owner to create a new code when needed.

An Observer Cannot Record an Observation

The Observer role is read-only. The Owner must change the role to Recorder before the user can add observations.

A Photo Cannot Be Zoomed

  • Open the photo in the full viewer.
  • Pinch with two fingers or double-tap.
  • After zooming, drag with one finger.

A QR Code Cannot Be Scanned

Make sure the whole QR Code is visible, clean the camera lens, use sufficient lighting, and avoid scanning from too close.

Privacy and Security

Do not share transfer or invitation codes publicly. Do not register passwords, banking data, identity documents, or confidential information as object data.

Usage Tips

  • Use one object per ID and choose a unique nickname.
  • Take photos from a consistent angle.
  • Check Synchronization Status before signing out or changing devices.
  • Use the device's real location for observation photos.
  • Secure the Google account if the device is lost.
