How Orvix Selects a Language

Orvix reads the language used by the Android system. When the device language is supported, the application uses it automatically. Otherwise, Orvix uses English.

The application interface and PDF labels follow the device language where available, especially Indonesian and English. If labels for a language are not yet complete, Orvix uses English as the fallback.

Changing the Language

  1. Open Android settings.
  2. Open the device or application language settings.
  3. Select one of the supported languages.
  4. Close and reopen Orvix if the change is not immediately visible.

Why Language Support Matters

  • It makes Orvix easier to use across different countries.
  • It reduces mistakes when recording and managing objects.
  • It helps field teams work with more familiar terminology.
  • It makes structured object documentation accessible to more users.

Changing the language does not change object data. IDs, QR Codes, photos, and observation histories remain the same.
