Observation photos receive a permanent watermark before they are saved. The watermark is embedded in the image and remains visible when the photo is shared.
Watermark Information
- Object name.
- The day, date, and time the photo was taken.
- Latitude and longitude coordinates.
- Village, district, and city or regency.
- Province and country.
The watermark time is refreshed when the photo capture button is pressed.
Location Check Before Camera Access
Before opening the observation camera, Orvix checks location permission, location services, and whether a device position is available. The camera does not open when permission is denied, location is disabled, or a position cannot be obtained.
This check helps ensure observation photos have more valid coordinates before that information is added to the watermark.
Improving Location Accuracy
- Enable GPS before taking the photo.
- Use the application where a GPS signal is available.
- Grant location permission when requested.
- Wait briefly until the position is found.
Fake GPS and Mock Location
Orvix may reject an observation photo when Android detects a simulated location, fake GPS, or mock location. Disable fake GPS applications and the mock location option, then restore the device's real location.
Address and coordinate accuracy depends on GPS, connectivity, location services, and device conditions.
