Development notes document how an object changes over time.
Creating an Observation
- Open the object detail page and tap Record Development.
- Tap the camera icon.
- Orvix checks location permission and device location services.
- Enable location when requested and wait until a position is obtained.
- Take the object photo.
- Enter the Development Description, Action, and Recommendation.
- Review the location and tap Save Record.
The observation camera opens only after a location is obtained. This check does not apply to object profile photos or QR scanning.
Location Security and Anti Fake GPS
When recording an object's development, Orvix checks the device location before opening the observation camera. The camera opens only when location permission has been granted and the device location service is active.
If Orvix detects simulated location, fake GPS, or mock location usage, the observation camera will not open. Users need to turn off the fake GPS application or mock location feature first, then try taking the observation photo again.
This flow helps observation photos use coordinates that are more valid and accountable. The location information is added to the observation photo watermark, including coordinates and regional address information.
If Fake GPS Is Detected
- Close or disable the fake GPS application.
- Disable mock location in Android Developer Options.
- Enable the device's real location again.
- Return to Orvix and tap the camera icon again.
This check helps prevent mock locations reported by Android, but it cannot guarantee detection of every location spoofing method.
Completing the Form with the Keyboard Open
The form adjusts to the keyboard and scrolls toward the active field. You can continue scrolling to reach the Action, Recommendation, and Save controls. On some devices, scroll slightly upward without closing the keyboard.
Example
Description: The lower leaves of the plant are beginning to turn yellow.
Action: Reduced watering and added organic fertilizer.
Follow-up: Check the leaves again in three days.
After Saving
The observation is stored on the device first. Orvix then synchronizes it with the server and displays a Synced, Pending, or Failed status.
