Save Location

Save Location is used to document a specific area or place separately from attendance data. It is useful for survey points, work visit locations, field areas, or places that need a photo and coordinate-based report.

Save Location Steps

  1. Make sure location or GPS is enabled.
  2. On Home, tap Save Location.
  3. The app opens the back camera.
  4. Take a photo of the area or place you want to document.
  5. Wait for the app to obtain GPS coordinates and address when available.
  6. Tap Save on the photo preview.
  7. Complete the Location Note screen.
  8. Tap Save to store the location data.

Location Note

After the location photo is saved, GeoStamp displays a location note screen. This screen can contain:

  • A map with a position marker.
  • Location photo preview.
  • Latitude and longitude.
  • Location name.
  • Address from map or location lookup.
  • Contact phone.
  • Additional notes.

Canceling a Draft

If users cancel while on the Location Note screen, the photo and location draft are discarded after confirmation.

Difference from Attendance

Saved location data does not go into attendance history. It has its own history so location documentation stays separate from proof of presence.

Example Uses

  • Documenting survey points.
  • Recording work visit locations.
  • Saving field activity location proof.
  • Saving contact and location notes for field reports.
