GeoStamp requires several device permissions so attendance, saved locations, profile, notifications, synchronization, maps, and ads can work.
Permission List
- Camera: to take attendance and saved location photos.
- Location or GPS: to obtain latitude and longitude coordinates.
- Internet: for Google login, server synchronization, opening User Guide, opening Privacy Policy, checking updates, displaying maps, and loading ads.
- Notifications: to send attendance reminders based on work schedules.
- Gallery or media: to select a profile photo and choose a watermark logo.
- Vibration: to support Android notifications.
Advertising ID
GeoStamp uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads. On Android, the ads SDK may use the device Advertising ID according to Google Play policies and the user's Android settings.
Location Use
Location is used when users take attendance or save a location. GeoStamp does not use location to continuously track users in the background.
If Permission Is Denied
If camera or location permission is denied, related features cannot work properly. If gallery permission is denied, users cannot change their profile photo or choose a watermark logo. Users can re-enable permissions through Android settings.
