Scan From Image

Scan From Image reads a QR-Code or barcode from an image stored on your device.

How to scan an image

1. Open the Scan screen.
2. Tap Scan From Image.
3. Select an image from your gallery or file picker.
4. OmniCode shows a preview of the selected image.
5. Tap Continue to scan it, or Cancel to choose another image.
6. If a code is found, OmniCode opens the Scan Result screen.

Best image types

• Use clear images with the full code visible.
• Avoid screenshots where the code is too small.
• Avoid heavy blur, strong reflections, or very low contrast.
• For barcode labels, crop loosely so the full barcode and quiet area are still visible.

If no code is found

Try a clearer image, zoomed screenshot, or scan the physical code with the camera. Some damaged, stylized, or incomplete codes may not be readable.
