Scan Code

The Scan screen reads QR-Codes and barcodes using the device camera.

Scan with the camera

1. Open Scan from the bottom navigation or Home quick actions.
2. Point the camera at the QR-Code or barcode.
3. Keep the code inside the scan frame.
4. Hold the phone steady until OmniCode detects the code.
5. When detection succeeds, OmniCode opens the Scan Result screen automatically.

Tips for better scanning

• Make sure the code is not blurred, folded, cropped, or covered.
• Use enough light, but avoid glare on glossy screens or labels.
• Move the camera slightly closer or farther if detection does not happen.
• For small barcodes, fill more of the scan area with the code.

Restart Camera

If the camera preview freezes or detection seems stuck, tap Restart Camera. This reloads the camera scanner without closing the app.
