This Privacy Policy explains how OmniCode handles data while you scan, create, save, and share QR codes or barcodes.
Privacy summary
OmniCode does not use login, user accounts, a backend, a server database, or cloud synchronization. OmniCode does not collect, upload, or send user data to an OmniCode server. Scan data, created data, and history stay on your device unless you choose an action that sends data to another app, such as share, open link, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or browser.
Data processed by the app
OmniCode may process camera frames, selected images, text entered for QR codes or barcodes, generated code images, and saved history items. This processing happens on your device to provide the app features you choose to use.
No account or OmniCode server
OmniCode does not require registration, does not provide login, and does not connect app data to a user account. OmniCode also does not use a backend or server database to store your scan results, created codes, or history.
Camera and image access
The camera is used for live scanning. Image access is used when you choose Scan From Image. OmniCode does not require camera or image access when you only create a QR code or barcode manually.
Local history
Saved scan and create results are stored locally on your device. OmniCode does not upload history to a server. You control what is saved by pressing the save button. Clearing app data from Android settings may remove local history.
Sharing
Data leaves your device only when you choose an action that sends data, such as share, opening a link in a browser, sending email, SMS, WhatsApp, or using another app. When you share a result, Android passes the selected content to the app you choose. The privacy handling after sharing depends on the receiving app.
Advertising
OmniCode may include advertising slots. If ads are enabled, an advertising provider may process technical information according to its own policies. Scan data, created content, and local history are not sent to an OmniCode server for advertising.
